This episode gets a solid 4 stars. It’s not filler and there’s some great character development. The story is finally starting to go somewhere.

*SPOILER ALERT!* Mavis and company finally get to port and begin their search for information about the wizard guild, Blue Skull. Precht wants to start looking immediately and Mavis decides to join him. Things are tense between them at first and Mavis soon learns that he is socially awkward but a really sweet guy.

It’s weird seeing that because we know what Precht becomes later on in life. We first encountered him when he was known as Hades in the Tenrou Island arc. At that time he was the master of a dark wizard guild. We then learn that Precht was a founding member of Fairy Tail and even served as the guilds second master.

So how does he go from this hqdefaultΒ to that?524630-hades_deepest_realm_super I’m eager to find out.

Towards the end of the episode, Mavis and Precht actually run into some members of Blue Skull. The bad guys trap our heroes in a magic circle, but Mavis is quick to notice that the circle was made incorrectly and is thus ineffective. Precht shows off his very cool blades-at-the-end-of-a-chain skills, but no magic.

Mavis, on the other hand, proves that she does in fact know magic and uses an illusion to scare the bad guys and get the information they want.

We know that Precht and the other two guys use magic, why else would they start a wizard guild if they weren’t wizards, I’m just wondering when and how do they get their magic?

Then, at the very end of the episode we get out first glimpse of Zeref! Mavis passes him on the street and they don’t notice each other, but still, this hints are interesting things to come. *END SPOILERS*Β
